O que é Canabinoides Sintéticos WIN-x

A série WIN recebeu o nome da Sterling Winthrop, empresa farmacêutica onde os compostos foram desenvolvidos nos anos 1980 — antes, portanto, da descoberta dos receptores canabinoides.

O representante mais conhecido é o WIN 55,212-2, agonista potente de CB1 e CB2 e um dos compostos mais usados em pesquisa canabinoide básica. Sua estrutura química não se parece com a do THC, o que o torna útil: efeitos reproduzidos por moléculas estruturalmente distintas reforçam que a via é o receptor, e não alguma peculiaridade da molécula.

Aparece sobretudo em estudos laboratoriais e em modelos animais.
